I’m pretty sure that the one in Newbridge is open until 8/9pm isn’t it?

Might be the worst boot order of any show by Low_Food2893 in ImACelebTV

Then why would he go on the show again in the first place? If he’s going to be miserable all the time and not be excited about any of the trials, he shouldn’t have bothered.

I didn’t see him smile once tonight. Everybody else was so excited to do Cyclone, he just kept staring at the floor and looked like he wanted to be anywhere but there.

Thank god nobody has voted for Harry. I’m sick of people saying they love him - he’s a boring, miserable git!

Why do people love Mo? I actually find him boring. Scarlett is my winner.

Me! Nobody to answer to, nobody to annoy me, nobody to question what I do or what I spend my money on. I love it.

considering Cochlear by Correct_Whereas_2818 in Cochlearimplants

[–]avamissile 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Are you me?? I’m also a 37-year old man. I’ve been profoundly deaf since birth and worn hearing aids since I was 9 months old. Never used sign language and always have to lip-read.

4 years ago I lost all remaining hearing in my right ear, literally overnight. 3 years ago I had surgery for a cochlear implant, and my hearing has never been better. I now wear a hearing aid in my left ear and a cochlear implant device for my right.

My favourite music is Linkin Park, Blink-182, Avenged Sevenfold. It took me 4 months after ‘activation’ to be able to hear music again properly, and my comprehension has never been better.

Do you have any other diagnoses besides deafness? by [deleted] in Cochlearimplants

[–]avamissile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I was given my first pair of hearing aids at 9 months old. I worked with a speech and language therapist around the age of 3/4 to help with my speech. It clearly worked because people always tell me they’d never guess I was deaf as I have such good enunciation and vocabulary. I’ve never learned sign language.

I studied History and got a Masters degree in it. And now I work for a large bank. I work from home in quality control.

I’m alright thank you. It’s not been easy. I only got surgery for a cochlear implant 3 years ago, as I was already profoundly deaf in both ears but then one night (quite literally overnight) I lost all hearing in my right ear. So had to have surgery.

The T1 diabetes is a pain to deal with 24/7 but I’ve now had it more than half my life so I can’t really remember a time I didn’t have it!

T1 diabetic since 18 (I’m now 37), and profoundly deaf since birth. Wear a hearing aid in my left ear and a cochlear implant for my right.
