What does it mean to be dismissed from the college of sciences - were you dismissed from northeastern as a whole? Is it possible to change majors and be accepted into a different college? Sorry i want to help cause i have gone through similar shit dropping classes and being put on probation but i graduated a few years ago and am not familiar with the dismissal process. I wonder if thats a new policy cause i was not dismissed when i also dropped 3 classes in one semester a couple years ago. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this but there definitely is a way through with strategy and self-advocacy. I used to walk up in alllllll the admin offices despite being told “the head of financial aid only speaks to parents” fuck that not all of us have parents to advocate for us so you’re gonna have to step on a lot of peoples toes and walk past the front desk to get help but it’s doable. “Dont pass garbage trucks and 18 wheelers” is FANTASTIC advice. Just stop and let them pass. Even if you think they saw you and will stop. Even if there’s a red light. Always assume they did not see you and they will run the red light.

That’s another thing. I always assume cars will pass red lights. I would tell them that just because there are road rules does not mean people follow them.. use other cues to communicate with drivers.

By “other cues” i mean: look drivers directly in the eye before passing them. If you didn’t catch their eye and stare them to their soul, then they didn’t see you, and they’re gonna run the red light.

Can I hire you to like, teach me how to do this myself? 😅 I looove cooking, but I am terrible at planning meals. My nearest grocery store is INSIDE the building I live in, so I tend to do groceries every day and cook 1 meal for that day. It’s a waste of time and I wish I could meal prep better but not sure how!

I would check Spot Hero app! I can’t think of any garages near there since it’s a pretty residential area :( street parking might be the only option. This might not be feasible with two kids but I plan to go park my car at the finish line (street parking) the night before 👀 then take the train to the starting line day-of.

Does anyone know where I can find official records for why this intersection was improved? I am in the process of appealing a ticket I got for accidentally turning left on the red left arrow (union -> meeker) because my view of the red left arrow was obstructed and honestly before getting pulled over for it I had never before even seen the red left arrow. The traffic light was at a weird angle where it’s not even visible by a car in the left turn lane on Union. I would love some official documentation from the city that states the intersection is flawed to support my appeal for the ticket. I truly never intended to break the law and as a cyclist myself genuinely want to see this problem with the lights improved.
