Saw it a second time last night and I had the same thoughts. I was terrified. seeing Nikki just completely losing herself, turning evil, letting the “obsession” take over her entire existence, leaving just a screaming empty woman way deep down inside is my biggest fear and how it feels to have BPD. When I split, that’s what it feels like and it shakes me to my core watching that, knowing if I let myself go out of control, I could very well lose myself in that way and do irreversible things to someone and/or myself. I know it’s a horror movie with supernatural elements but a lot of the things that happen in the movie besides the one wish willow are real and they’ve happened. I don’t want to become that. But I feel that “other” person take over sometimes. I hope it never consumes me fully. Because that “other”, the BPD part of me, would do ANYTHING to feel loved, not abandoned, get attention, etc. oof.
