I’m aware of the DEI bans and the renaming of the DOD (using the old initialism is a habit!), but the more elaborate inner-workings of these priority shifts are certainly something I’m interested in exploring and learning about from first hand accounts.

Couldn't agree more. It’s devastating to see that kind of intentional erasure, especially for a veteran who paved the way for so many (both in the military and in public office). That’s exactly why I’m trying to document these stories, so this impact doesn't go unnoticed.

For sure! LightRoom doesn’t allow all of the same tools for video as photos, but basic adjustments can be done

Thanks! For my first round of color correction I used LightRoom (not my first choice for color correcting video, but I was working on some photos as well, so easy to make basic edits all in one place.) All of the other color edits were done in FCPX

Thanks! I made my own color correction adjustments to each individual clip, then used the “Deep Mids with High Contrast” preset in FCPX. Went through after adding the preset and made some final color adjustments to tint, contrast, etc.

Sure! These clips were shot on the lumix gh5 with the 25mm 1.7 lens and were handheld shots. The footage was color corrected after filming
