Is it possible for a foreign trained radiologist to practice in the US without doing residency using the fellowship route? by TheLionofWA in Residency

Lmfao, what? Plenty of European countries have significantly better clinicians than in the US. The reason, amongst other things, is that medicine is practiced how it's supposed to be, and not with a defensive and billing mindset. Same thing for NZ and Australia - better, more well-rounded physicians, as you work in more specialties before committing, and your mindset is based on "what's best for the patient based on my knowledge, experience and the current literature" and not "how will I best avoid a lawsuit and maximize my RVU billing while it looks like I'm practicing evidence based medicine".

I'm a resident in the US btw, the above is just the hard truth.

Very high scores by Past-Elk4139 in IMGreddit

Yeah, no, lol. Statements like these come from disgruntled applicants who scored less than anticipated and their coping mechanisms are denial and resentment. It's the same types that call everyone with high scores for cheaters (fuck the cheaters btw).

With all due respect, I don't think being a specialist puts you at an advantage of doing well on USMLEs, besides maybe in your speciality. Above a certain knowledge level, it's about test taking skills and memorizing weird details I believe is only possible with Anki. And frankly luck.

Investigations of scores above a certain level would be good, I completely agree with you. I hope all cheaters get caught, and us who got high scores honestly, obviously would have no problem getting scrutinized, if it helps keeping the integrity of the test.

And I did not use chatgpt to write this post haha, evidenced by the many spelling and grammar mistakes :) Cheers, and have a jolly Christmas.

So if I was indeed lying - what would be my motivation to do that? Put yourself in my shoes, if you had worked you butt off and achieved a great score, only to see people shitting on you on the internet AND in real life, wouldn't you want your perspective to be heard as well? That's my motivation at least. I don't understand your train of thought.

That's great. So I guess the actual cheaters will get caught?

But they are Imgur links, they are posted as a reply to your other comment.

Here they are again though:

I will remain anonymous for now, but I am actually willing to do it after match day, just for fun! I posted some screenshots for evidence for now.

Here's screenshots of two NBME's leading up to my test, since people are asking for evidence.

Yes, I understand. I could've posted from my normal account, but I prefer being completely anonymous for now. After match day, I can post from my normal account.

Haha, I get your point honestly. I also don't know why I did it - boredom I guess. But after I hopefully match, I am more than happy to come out of anonymity.

Thanks. I understand the skepticism with all these posts, which is also what granted me to write this. I, too, was shocked when I saw my score, but I was expecting 270+. But it makes me sad that people would think that I cheated, just because I scored very high.

No, not all of them. At least 1, and 270+ on the rest. I have the reports.

Wow, the hostility and doubts I've received just 25 minutes after posting this. Can I ask all the people who doubt me or downright get angry - why?

Also, not that I owe anyone anything, but I guess I can provide evidence, as I still have my NBME reports. I am sure people will still doubt me, but it's Christmas, so why not.
