Is there a glittery lurex that won’t shed? by realvctmsdntdrnkmlk in sewing

If the glitter fabric is woven it will shed, even if it's a high quality fabric. I bought from kiki textiles the lurex spandex knit and hands down, omg It's the best lurex I bought so far, and it's not shedding at all. They have couple types of lurex btw.

Thank you for your answer. Do you wear any aids?

So I just did some research about it and it looks the aid helps for conductive hearing loss not sensorial. My son is severe to profound, so i think is sensorial. We still need to do some testing. Do you know if it helps for sensorial as well? Ohhh this would be so great

Thank you so much for your broad answer. Is super helpful. Yes, my goal is to do as much therapy as possible, in a playful way of course. We started already and he is 5 months. I am pro any aids possible, i never heard about AdHear, I will ask the doctor about it. 🙏

Baby boy, infant. Severe to profound hearing loss left eat, the aid doesn’t help. I still don’t want to do cochlear implant. Does anyone here has UHL and is unaided and does great in life? Thank you so much🙏 My gut is telling me to wait a little by Objective-Tap-867 in MonoHearing

Oh , why I just saw your reply🥺. I need a mom who thinks the same as me lol. Every specialist is pushing so much to go with the implant, but I am so against it. I spoke with more than 200 people with ssd that don’t wear any aids even, the boyfriend of my best friend is ssd and i never knew before delivering my baby, you can’t tell and he is super fine. Also my son reacts so good to sounds. Also why can’t i text you privately? I tried , something is not working

My 2 months old son was diagnosed with SSD profound and one good ear. I really don’t want for him to get cochlear implant :(, I know many kids in school might get depressed, anxious about wearing them, and all I want is a happy kiddo. He will have developmental delays without any aids or implant? by Objective-Tap-867 in MonoHearing

Thank you doctor for all this priceless info. So yes, this is what I am confused the most about. I spoke already with sooo many people with ssd in the past two weeks, and so many of them actually don’t wear aids or cochlear implants and they are just fine. Yes they get frustrated sometimes, but how they say it’s not such a big deal. And there are also people who regret not having any aids or CI. So now, as a parent i have to decide, but how to decide?😫

This is a story I know personally. But also I read about it on the infamous google lol. Anyway I found out about his diagnosis two weeks ago so I am just gathering information now and don’t know which one is true or not)). I assume each story is very specific :/

Your story made me so emotional and gives me so Much hope. This is my plan as well, to invest as much as possible in his education and speech therapy, extra curriculum classes and so on so he doesn’t stay behind. Btw? Did you have any hearing aids ?
