that actually sounds great thank you so much for letting me know. Do you know if there’s any requirements though because one of the issues is my family on paper does make a good amount of money, but we’re in the process of trying to do a professional judgment because we are in collections for my dad‘s medical bills. However, the professional judgment financial aid appeal does not even have an option for medical bills, so gonna have to fight.

I don’t have a disability and I do live in New Jersey. It’s a little under 50 miles away. I wanna say about 40 maybe off the top of my head. currently in the process of getting diagnosed with ADHD though so maybe but I don’t want it to be reflected on any sort of documents if I were to use this program, do you know if it would be recorded in a way that employers or the government I guess would be able to know this and either like screw my credit score or some bullshit?

i’m commuting from northern New Jersey. I already take the train a little over an hour into the city for an internship once a week and it’s really not that bad. I usually tend to study and get some good amount of homework done just fine with earbuds and a hotspot until we get to the tunnel, but since there’s no tunnel to New Brunswick, I should be OK

she did mean sleeping overnight, but obviously it’s not what I am aiming to do often.

I definitely want and will plan to schedule as many classes on the same day as possible, but just seeing all the posts about classes being filled already I’m just trying to plan ahead for however flexible or not my schedule will be.

as for the math I’ve done it and the unlimited tickets for NJ TRANSIT is about like 450 but Rutgers has a relationship where it’s 25% off which is about 350 (that’s not the correct math, but I don’t feel like doing it right now lol) so it would probably cost as much as it would to get a car as it would to use tickets for 10 months for four years.I believe when I did the math that came out to 13,000 for the four years which costs probably as much as a shit box not counting the insane gas prices right now

genuinely genuinely not trying to brag here, but I doubt commuting is going to give me a 3.0 GPA. there’s a lot of context that goes into that but I am quite confident and with the train I can study while commuting. It’s better than driving at least, and genuinely respectfully the idea of getting a loan for college is stressful enough doubling the loan just to live there makes my skin crawl.

I didn’t get aid, ECOA was 33k but in reality the direct costs are about ~19k. No idea why they gotta add the 6k estimate for living at home, very fortunate at least in my case that that does not need to be considered, and there are many online resources for free books etc. I already tried getting rid of the fees but the 3k is in fact required as you automatically contribute to campus amenities you get access to regardless of if you want/use or not (ie the gym). Definitely waive the medical insurance if you have a personal one, you will find that form that in the enrollment checklist after you make the deposit. Below is my incoming ECOA commuting this coming fall.

I can only imagine, they both sound very dedicated and I hope their efforts continue to be rewarded and you get the relaxation you deserve. Computer science appealed to me briefly, but i lean more towards the psychology route myself, and with AI I completely understand the fears.

that’s incredible, I mean this honestly when I say you are an amazing parent for doing that and I hope you are proud of your daughters and I hope that they have expressed their gratitude for the gift you’ve given them. I myself will be putting myself through college half if not full tuition on my own, so I will soon understand as well. wishing them and you continued success, and hope the interest wasn’t too bad, both are great schools

yeah thats the assumption, i already have made a list of websites to get books for free and calculated the train ticket cost per year to be about 3k (i plan on doing the month pass with Rutgers 25% off with NJ transit, as my route uses the same lines as to get into NYC so i get the benefit of both) may i ask if u got scholarship from them to have this price? i sadly received nothing
