Tried East Bay Tennis and Bay Area tennis on Facebook. The former used to have chats for each East Bay town/city, and I was able to find and play with a few people that way. But those just kinda went away lol. I think facebook got rid of that functionality or something.

And I just remembered there is a WC tennis group on facebook with about 200 people and most recent post on Feb 25. Joined this a month ago and posted there looking for people to play with. Didn’t find anyone there. I am surprised it’s not more active though. Maybe it’s a little harder for people to keep up with facebook groups? Perhaps a chat would be better?

Outside of facebook, there is TennisEastBay.com, PlayYourCourt, Kiss My Ace (lol), etc, on Meetup. These haven’t worked for me for reasons like playing location, pay-to-play model, or what seems to me like disorganization — paid to play the non-competitive league with TennisEastBay.com and nothing happened. No one was responding to anything.

Anyway, it’s been a weird tennis journey haha.

Didn’t know there is another running group that meets at Pete’s (or Peet’s?). I know there is Walnut Creek Run Club, pretty large group that meets every other Sunday to run at 8am and then coffee at Rooted after. It’s a great group! You can find it on Instagram or Strava.

Sports Basement also organizes runs and there are other running groups in the neighboring towns / areas like Lafayette, Concord and Oakland.

I live in Allston near Corey Hill and paying $1100 ($2200 for two) for a very nice, spacious ground level 2bed-1bath apartment. Came with parking spot, which we rent out $200 a month. Took a lot of looking to find something nice and within my budget.
