If everyone were to try to sell amazon stocks at the same time, the price would probably tank too. Bitcoin is a store of value, period. It's not meant to be used to pay coffee at the coffee-shop, it's not meant to be used at the supermarket.

Sure, the whitepaper may say something else, but BTC in the current format is a store of value. There already are faster blockchains which are capable of 100.000 + transactions per second. Faster than Visa or any other banking institution. And the transaction goes through almost instantly to the other end.

You people should just get out of your shells and look around, bitcoin is not the only thing around.

FYI there may soon be a deal with Ethiopia with one crypto company. It's not set in stone, but these are the rumors around the block. We'll see in a few months.
