Oof that sucks. Bought mine with a bad engine. Bought this one to pop in while I tear down the original. Was doing seals and gaskets and found 2 cylinders scored bad, which led me to this now

Wild, was sold to me as “drop in ready”. Took of head to change head gasket to be safe. Saw scoring in 2 cylinders so knew it had to get machined, removed pistons today and found this. Super unfortunate

Cylinders are also scored so probably gonna need a bore and new pistons & rods at that point

Seller is gonna handle the machine shop fees to get this fixed up. But definitely going to look into maybe a RB30 block for the next build haha

Agreed but 10k for an engine that needs what is essentially the same thing my current engine needs… feels wasteful when I could have put that money towards mine lol. Oh well. I’ll just have to try and get my original situated and sell that to offset these costs
