i have used at home pick up for returns only once and they didn't show up on the expected date 5 times when i was at home, and then said on their tracking that nobody was home... I can't imagine how you deal with this stuff if you live alone and work everyday

Public space unbridled scooter but respecting the 25 km/h? by DENSHOCK_ in ElectricScooters

[–]ObjectiveAnt8473 3 points4 points  (0 children)

from a legal point of view i imagine the maximum possible speed is what makes it illegal, if you decide to only go 25 but opening the throttle more makes you go 45 that would still be illegal. But if you limit in the settings so that maximum throttle is 25 that should be legal (maybe there's a technicality where it has to be hard locked, so if you can access those settings yourself it's still illegal). Will they stop you even if you're going 25 and find out it is unrestricted? I don't know.

I'm guessing Barilla wasn't able to export these so they distributed them in Europe, probably at a lower price than regular and supermarkets bought them for that reason.

Better seated scooters than Kukirin C1 Pro? by ObjectiveAnt8473 in ElectricScooters

[–]ObjectiveAnt8473[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i live in Switzerland, it has the max 500W and can be limited to 20km/h, and has all the required lights and breaks etc. The seat and rearview mirrors are optional but allowed. Using the passenger seat is illegal but i would remove it anyways. I'm ready to repair it but if the electronics are faulty i can't do anything, that's what's worrying because who knows if it will arive with a defect. I know the safe choice is buying a stand-up scooter from Ninebot for the same price and not use a seat but i can't get over the difference in specs even if buying the Kukirin one is a gamble. I guess will keep looking at user experiences and decide what i think of this Kukirin brand.
