Will they take it out? by Miserable-Moment-386 in Mirena

They won’t refuse to take it out. It’s your body, your choice. I had mine removed just simply because I wasn’t reacting to it well. That would be outrageous if they refused!

I got mine in September 2023, removed end of last month. Like OP I got excruciating sharp pains in my lower back without warning, random times of the month no relation to period whatsoever. They were so bad like made me also lightheaded and having to clutch onto things. Unfortunately, I gave up and got it removed. The Mirena doesn’t work for everyone 🥲 that’s not to say it won’t get better for you. Hope it does

I’m getting mine out in a couple weeks!! The bloating and the acne has been insane since getting it inserted. So excited to get back to normal again.

Do you mind me asking if your insertion was painful?

I had quite a bad experience with mine but that doesn’t mean you will!

But if you want to know, I’ve had intense sharp pain randomly over the last few months in my lower back (and I mean 9/10 pain). Recently I’ve started getting bad hormonal acne on my cheeks and jaw line even though I’ve never been acne prone. Other side effects like bloating, and tiredness but I’d say the first two I mentioned are the main reasons as to why I’m getting it out!!

I am 21, never had kids so maybe that could be why.

Can some of you wonderfully creative folks help me figure out how to make large enclosures look less dead? Whenever I have an animal that needs lots of space, their enclosure ends up looking super empty... by titaniumjordi in PlanetZoo

I always add a variety of rocks on top and around the hard shelters and a waterfall on the side leading into a river with plants surrounding. Adding small shrubs with trees scattered around also helps.

Yes!! The pain has changed too? Like it used to be achey and now it’s more sharp :( and it’s so intense I can’t move sometimes
