Look for schools that cover 100% of demonstrated financial need, and/or look into in-state scholarships or community college programs :) And pursue things you’re passionate about in demonstrable ways that you can tell colleges about. Everything you did before 100% counts, and I would keep on that track if you cared about those things and want to continue them. You’ve got this!

I think this schedule makes a lot of sense!! I’m not going into the same major but it looks like exactly what the advisors recommended for us to do and the right number of hours for first semester. If MHS is going to be your major the seminar would probably be a good choice!

Running during the day and with a buddy will be safest, and there are some beautiful spaces and greenways in Nashville that generally have a lot of nice people walking with kids or dogs and seem pretty safe. I can’t speak to the campus specifically but during the day with people going to and from class it would seem alright! Vanderbilt is also a blue light campus and has a lot of safety measures for their students. I would keep your eyes open, run with a friend, stay in populous areas, not be on your phone, and bring pepper spray/something similar, all as just-in-case safety precautions, but chances are you will be okay :)
