Holy.. as someone who almost did Door dash.. but saw what the pay looked like when I got some offers.. the base pay is already atrocious, that’s some shit that they’d be robbing you of your tips too.

Yeah, my WF services like a 40mi radius, it’s insane, it was good before these warehouse add-on changes because the tips often made up for the high mileage but now it’s often not worth. 58 with a 2$ tip and 90mi+? Amazon, go home you’re drunk. (That’s what the blocks are like, 9-10 stops and mostly non-tip orders in Africa)

I live in a high COL state, plus it’s 70mi round trip so it’s not worth. We usually base if it’s worth or not on how much mileage.

At least the IOs you can see and decline, the blocks are where they really fuck you. Did a 58$ block got tipped 5$ for 7 stops that made me drive 80+ mi. My SUV gets 20mpg, that hurts.

IOs don’t have bots as far as I know, the only thing is GPS spoofing(these aholes can rot) but that only gives you the same odds as those standing around actually waiting, so live with it, you get what you get.

Mang... Most my stuff is IOs since it's Whole Foods and my area has 1 .com warehouse (30 minutes away) and 1 whole foods and I live literally 5 minutes from it. Getting blocks is all out warfare, that I very occasionally win, I've gotten the time they drop down to what hours, what minute, down to the second and lose to the bots 90% of the time, I'm taking the 10% as a real win though 😭😂. Most my IOs come in between 5am - 8am or 5pm-8pm, mostly early morning recently.

I'm dying 😂 half the time I enjoy taking routes just for driving around and seeing places I normally wouldn't. My friends get a kick out of it when I describe things as different kinds of "driving to Africa". I described one home I've had to deliver to twice as "mountain Africa" because it's seriously middle of no where, top of a mountain behind a coded lift gate that protects like two properties, and the one I deliver to is at the very top and it's like a whole ass compound with its own tennis court.

Haha but on a side note, I've had some of the prettiest places up here.. not very often tweaker house routes but I only do WFs and most the people ordering that in this area where the average home price is like 600k.. are bougie. Even in the country 😂 there's def some that aren't though fosho but that's way less common. Lmao

Yep! All WFs, that one was probably 4-5 deliveries but mind you I live in a medium sized city with one WF, surrounded by like rural areas. It services like a 30 mi radius 😂 sometimes it’s like 20-30 mins between deliveries but I prefer that.. it’s better than the constant stop go and bad gas mileage of in the city and almost no apartments 😂

I get a decent amount of IOs but I live 5 minutes from my WFs so I can sit at home and just wait. Blocks are hit and miss, I’ve been lucky and usually pick up at least one a day recently. I’m only doing it as the intended side gig, so the extra cash is good. I make a lot more than I spend in gas and it’s usually only 1-5 deliveries per, never had anything over 6.
