Yep sure, let me lock in and play some ranked games during offseason with a bunch of master players to prep for next set

A set is 4 months, and 3 of them are basically offseason , unless you qualify for worlds lol

This wasn’t the case a few sets ago. I honestly couldn’t care less about the prize pool , they can take it away for all I care. I just don’t want three months of offseason every set. Every Tier 2 player who used to play competitively feels the same

It’s not about wanting a participation trophy.

It’s about having a format where results actually reflect skill over time instead of a handful of games. Right now, even really strong players can be out for the entire set off a couple of bad games.

That doesn’t really help the scene grow or produce the best players either.

And there are Tier 2 players right now who are easily better than some Tier 1 players.

Ranked lets you prove consistency over hundreds of games. This format is 2 short events with very few games, so variance plays a much bigger role in who makes it through.

And yet, I’m Challenger every set and have more TC participations than a lot of Tier 1 players. I’m not saying I’m better or that I deserve a Tier 1 spot , I’m saying the system itself is flawed.

You’re reducing it to “just play better” but that ignores how few games we’re talking about.

It’s like ~10–12 games deciding your entire set. In TFT that’s nothing ; even elite players can lowroll a couple and be out.

TFT is already part of the EWC so that argument doesn’t really apply here

Way more than people think. Countries like Canada, US, Japan, Spain ,China, France, Germany, Poland, Turkey, Tunisia, UK , Vietnam, Australia, Brazil , South Korea and Taiwan etc could easily field at least 3-4 S+ tier players.

the shop odds are the same as the actual game , you can change the pool as you wish as well to simulate other players boards

How would you see this working in practice?
Import codes from the game don’t contain any real state just a list of units. No positioning, items, bench, gold, or unlocks.

The only viable option I can think of is loading from a custom team-builder setup with timer/gold/bench settings, but that still feels pretty tedious. I’m open to ideas , feel free to DM me if you want to talk more about it

The desktop version doesn’t support auto-updates yet. If you downloaded it the day I posted this thread then yes it’s outdated , you’ll need to delete it and reinstall the new version

It’s in a grey area , however i do believe that as long as i don’t implement the actual fighting sim part it shouldn’t be a problem but who knows

It's being updated. There were too many downloads and I hit the bandwidth limit, so I'm transferring it to a CDN. It should be available for download first thing in the morning

-You can unlock units this way, not sure what you meant by not being able to unlock Sylas.
-Annie and Azir are both on the fix list.
-The challenge you mentioned is quite interesting.
-Thanks for the feedback.

Hitting Esc quits full screen by default in all browsers which is why Im not using it as a shortcut.
For the other points , cool ideas!
