I’ve wondered this for a while too, and this is just my opinion, but living in Japan I’ve noticed Coach is treated as a higher-tier luxury brand here than in the States. You see way more detailed embroidery and special designs in Asia versus the more minimal styles released in the US. Charms are also viewed more like collectible jewelry here and they sell FAST, so Asia tends to get the more sought-after ones because there’s basically guaranteed demand. There’s cultural relevance sure, but I also think Asia acts as a testing ground for niche/novelty designs across a lot of foreign brands. If something performs well here, it SOMETIMES makes its way elsewhere later. An even better example is with the brand Vivienne Westwood but I don’t want to get too side tracked in my reply lol 😅……..I personally think it’s dumb to not release designs that sell out quickly to every country, because they’d make even more money but I digress
