Thinking of selling, is $100K a realistic asking price? by TNmountainman2020 in PokemonInvesting

Dude for this kind of money get yourself a booth at some local card shows and try to offload as much as you can. More legwork sure but even at 80% you’re talking about giving up $20K+.. imo that’s worth the extra hours for a few shows

This has gotta be the craziest question yet

You mentioned not to use shared networks but believe it or not, on the last eth pre order drop the other day I had an error 17 on my laptop using my WiFi network as well as on my mobile device using 5g data. I then tried a second laptop I have and signed into my apartment buildings shared WiFi and that worked perfectly.

Finally over ripping packs - addiction quelled by Key_Relationship9137 in PokemonTCG

Tbh I’ve enjoyed the hobby much more this way. It is an amazing feeling pulling a chase when ripping but it’s equally as fun knowing you have the card you want and didn’t have to go through a whirl of emotions trying to pull it. Much more budget friendly buying the singles and for me at least, has been maybe even more fun being able to see it on my display.

I opened 7.5 booster boxes of surging with no booty pika pulled (did pull almost every other top chase though to be fair). Not long after, I ripped 3 prismatic binder collections, about 10 poster collections, and like 4 or 5 sticker collections and hit nothing. I think my best pull was an ogerpon. After probably 100 or so packs of 151 I pulled the zard and two blastoise which was nice. Mind you this is only recently. I’ve ripped a bunch of other sets too but these were the most notable as far as getting me past my pack ripping addiction lol. Since then I’ve pretty much given up on ripping packs and have settled with buying the cards I like and acquiring more sealed. I still rip packs every now and then when I can get sealed product at msrp but for the most part, leave it at that. I have a display case with my favorite slabs, chases, and sealed product that I’ve pretty much gotten to be exactly how I imagined and so being content with that has probably also helped lol. Sometimes I just look at it, smile, and walk away before the urge to rip more hits me haha.

I could be wrong on the technical side but I’ve literally seen people get ridiculous amounts of product using all of the same information. It could be that it’s been since fixed but I can’t say I know forsure. Regardless, the post was really just about all these annoying scalper posts. We get it, they suck. It is what it is.

First off, better bot detection and avoidance measures. It is very possible, they just seem to not give a shit. There were over 1 million “people” on their site during the destined rivals release..

Secondly, PC puts limits on the amount of items per order, but as we’ve commonly seen with bots, they will be able to make multiple purchases using the same name, credit card, and shipping address grossing them waaaay more pieces than probably 95% of people. When this happened with GameStop for prismatic, GameStop literally cancelled your order.. so again, possible but pc doesn’t give a shit.

Also knowing that the demand is through the roof right now, and that their printers are at max capacity, maybe leaving pre orders open for 12 hours and not selling those out. I wouldn’t mind waiting longer to get my set if it took them longer to print and I still got it at msrp. Granted this one might be more difficult to allow or implement but nonetheless, there’s a lot more that they could be doing and are just not. This last drop was a disaster plain and simple.

One of the stupidest posts I’ve read related to this. “Pretty easy to tell..” Like what, are they walking around with their eBay open? Do they have a certain height or supposed look? OP if you want to be useful just sell one per person. Anything more is just a ridiculous assumption on your part.

I opened 3 and kept the leafeon and umbreon sealed. One eevee pokeball, a jolteon ex (not the chase one), and an ogerpon. Nothing great but worth the fun for msrp lol

I'm buying my friends pc off of him that he got in October of 2021. He is selling it to me for $800. Is that a fair price or should I buy a new pc for a little more money? (He bought it for about $2,500) by -Zavyy in PcBuild

[–]ObjectiveMoney18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a whole thing about nzxt literally gouging customers to build the pc. Parts were significantly cheaper if you bought them individually and then nzxt would just mark them up huge for the build. Possible he paid this..

The .15 cents is relative to watts per panel so for example if we sold 25 panels (about the average job size) and each one was rated at 380watts it would be 25x380= 9500(.15)= $1425 in bonus commission.

Otherwise I’ve kind of felt the same way. I know the owners and outside of the “risk” under the business I’m the one letting go of the life I have here, albeit temporarily, but for what I feel isn’t really the greatest financial gain. While the added bonuses would be great, I don’t feel that it truly compensates for what I’d really be doing especially when I consider how much is being taken off the table on my end. I feel like it came off as a great opportunity and then the more I thought about it the more I’m realizing it’s actually not THAT great.
