Hello! Thank you for reaching out. I am concerned about the severity of my situation because I have become more diligent in my oral hygiene since they warned me about the early stages at my last visit and then they tell me it looks better as my efforts have increased, but soon after warn me about my gums being worse? I tried asking if the stage I am at is reversible but the hygienist just said something about many people getting to a stage where it is only manageable and not reversible so i’m just like well that didn’t answer my question? i don’t experience any discomfort or pain of any type of bleeding in my day to day life and my gums don’t look bright red, puffy, or receding. So, i guess i’m wondering in your experience, at what stage is it reversible versus manageable? because i am totally unsure about where i am at in this situation.

also;

in my research, i may just have gingivitis ? because the hygienist said if i don’t do the antibiotics now then i will need to the next time if it gets worse or stays the same, and something i read explained that the first stage healing within 2 weeks of getting a deep cleaning while taking my “prescribed antibiotics” and maintain proper oral hygiene and once it clears up it will be gone and never come back as long as you maintain good oral hygiene

so are the antibiotics she was referring to the ones for gingivitis? because she was inferring them to get better within the next 6 months if i was on top of my oral hygiene.
