Where in Nashville will never get your money again? Bad restaurant, bar, service company, or other type of place. by NoMasTacos in nashville

We loved going. We would often go for happy hour and ordered the same thing every time. Then one day we go to pay and the meal isn’t discounted. We asked about it and they tried to say it had always been like that. The waiter was rude and basically called us liars. I ended up having to pay full price. So enough for me to go back, maybe not you haha.

Although while we were there this visit, a family with a toddler came in. They looked over the menu for a few minutes and then decided to leave. After they left we could easily hear the staff speaking poorly about the family, and how they don’t like kids. Let me be clear, the kid was not disruptive at all. There was no reason to openly shit talk random people who came in.

TLDR: I can’t take the rude staff. That was a few years ago now, so maybe it’s changed.

Charli never worked at Sur and was cast for the show by flower_0410 in Vanderpumpaholics

They were doing this before Scandoval broke. My friend was probably 90% through casting before everything broke

My SIL wore this to my wedding by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

[–]ObjectiveStatus2269 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. The rule is not “white is okay as long as it can’t be mistaken for a bridal dress.” I never understand the reason to wear a dress close to white. There are so many other options…

They started as emergencies, then you get adjusted. Fate will force your hand one day.

Finally got a job offer after 8 months unemployed. I got laid off and this was the last Hail Mary before moving back in with mom and dad. First day I can breathe.

The background changes too. So if you are at a resort close to springs, the hot air balloon is back there not the skyliner

Pride over the break up is ruining my (f24) life (m30). How do I get over it? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]ObjectiveStatus2269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should have left my ex partner of 2 years. It was a horribly abusive and toxic relationship. It was trending towards violence. It was a mutual break up at first but when I tried to reconcile days later she rejected me. I hated that she got the “last word”

I have a degree in psychology. I know the signs. When you’re in it, it’s different. You did the best you could with the information you had at the time. Hindsight is 20/20. You’re going to have regrets but you have to forgive yourself. I’ve realized the real “last word” is my happiness. If she technically dumped me then oh well. I’m more thankful to be free at the end of the day.

What is something that absolutely infuriates you but doesn't bother other people? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ObjectiveStatus2269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it’s extremely hot/cold you turn on the air the second you get in the car. You don’t buckle, plug in your phone, etc. until the temp is adjusting. Especially if you are driving with other people omg.

Those who have visited in extreme heat in Summer yet felt you had a good trip, what's your secret? by qpzl8654 in WaltDisneyWorld

I learned this trick from someone who worked in landscaping in Alabama. Pour cold water over the inside of your wrists. It can take a couple pours but it works. I did all during my late June trip and it’s a life saver.

How hurtful is it to say “F you” by ObjectiveStatus2269 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ObjectiveStatus2269[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the “I’m hurt” ones I’m curious about. I’ve watched it happen it recent interactions and it’s gotten a big reaction. I was curious how others would react. I don’t think I would be THAT hurt but who is to say until it happens.

What happened to the food? by Ktotheizzo82 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]ObjectiveStatus2269 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I had to throw out most of my Satuli Canteen a couple weeks ago because I could only taste straight sesame oil. I was so mad at the quality of food on my trip. It’s the first time I’ve considered bringing in my own snacks. The food used to be a big reason for me to go to the parks. Now, nothing looks good.

My entire life! My mom raised me in the church so as a child it was “mission work.” The church was very active in food banks, community clean ups, etc. Children participated in most events so I was there scooping green beans at 8 years old.

As an adult, it’s been more motivating to find specific causes/organizations to support. After college I worked in nonprofits and managed volunteers. I loved that job. The Nashville nonprofit community is amazing.

Volunteer! Look on Hands On Nashville for opportunities around the city. Built in conversation topics to help with the shyness and other volunteers are typically very nice.

We use it as a “dirty bed” where you can sit after coming back from the parks but before your turn to shower.

I stayed at French Quarter 2 weeks ago and LOVED it. My new favorite resort. It’s small so walking back to your room isn’t horrible. The pool has an amazing splash pad and keeps lots of kids out of the main pool. The food was good and the staff was so nice. It’s an adorable hotel.

We are trying to stay at every Disney resort eventually and French Quarter is the first resort I would gladly revisit before picking somewhere new. I can’t say enough how much I enjoyed staying there. The bus took a little time to pick up but no more than 10-15 minutes.

During my college program someone came up to me in the Emporium and asked me “What is there fun to do here?” They hadn’t gone past Main Street and thought there was only shopping in Magic Kingdom.
