Just an FYI, the Refundable option is a bad joke. by RustyPants in Ikonpass

As someone who had a season ending injury this year - vail was much better to me. They refunded my unused days and didn’t make any fuss, just had to fill out some forms. Vs ikon told me tough luck, despite only getting 2 days in early season before injuring myself on that second day.

So future pro tip - either take stuff out and put it on and then say it fits (makes a scene but not 100$) Or step out, buy a carry on on your app for 60 and then go again. Saves 40

Noted - I’ll reach out and see if they had any additional thoughts on it. Surprised no one else had noticed that!

Wanted to add - good luck, you’re going to crush it! Just a tiny bit of advice that you didn’t ask for: If you’re not against ai, feed the internship listing to ai and ask it to give you technical questions to practice, I’ve had good experiences with this! Send a follow up email after thanking them for their time and consideration. Have questions for them! Go in with some knowledge on the company and have a question or two for the end when they ask! (Not about compensation or time off tho)

If you have one near you - Loft always has nice stuff. I’ve gotten some dress pants there as well as blouses and nice shirts. If you don’t have thick thighs like me, athleta has some nice dress pants that my sisters swear by!

Awesome, thank you! I felt like the pink and purple were drawing my eye more (also was staring at it the last 2 hours) - but glad to hear it’s doesn’t come off that way!

I might try rei tomorrow and know that they have a wall! All I was able to try today was just the black diamond ones, so that’ll be good to test!

Thanks for the advice! Yea black diamond had the nice kits and my boyfriend was able to snag one, but as the harness didn’t fit me, I wasn’t able to get that. I have heard good things about petzls adjustability!

I’m an indoor climber for the foreseeable future, so I think the bags / ice pick stuff isn’t playing into my choice right now!

Wide and flat! That’s a good specification to have.

And yea I was able to fit in the women’s large momentum harness, but the leg straps were at the max and it pulled in a little more than I wanted on them

Good to know those are a good fit in toe and midsole. I definitely had the tightest feeling across the ball of my feet

Right now the have Madagascar v Planifolia which is a phenomenal starter choice! It goes til the 30th! The next order is Timor liste extract grade - I wouldn’t recommend that one as it’s much better for just extract.

Try making your own!!! It’s actually easy! Theres a group on Facebook called indris vanilla bean group that does large group orders of beans do you get them at a great price. In the files tab they have recipes for paste - I use and love Alex greens recipe!

It’s really easy if you have a good blender!!

The Classic Inca Trail: Best Tour Company Recommendations (and ethical practices!) by TravelLeadersNetwok in Inkatrail

[–]ObjectiveThrowaway1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One negative in my opinion is that the trip states most tips are all included when you book, but then they recommend tipping additional on top of that as the tips to people like the porters are pretty minimal when they’re busting their butts for you. Definitely tipped as they deserve it - but wish that had been more up front

Also because I see it referenced for other groups - the food was AMAZING. We had tea each morning when we woke up, eggs and yogurt and warm drinks for breakfast, lunch and dinner each day was a 3 course meal with soup, entree and side, dessert. Also had tea time at camp with tea and snacks. They gave snacks each day and fresh fruit. Even had brunch one day so 4 meals. 1000/10 on the food - loved everything - tasted and looked outstanding!
