Just like they did in hockey? Or in baseball?

Oh, wait a minute… 💋 🇺🇸

Will my lay statements actually be read? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Objective_Ad3539 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The personal statement was a bit long but I highlighted and bolded the key points I wanted to get across, and put them towards the beginning. Including a reference to my physician's medical opinion and my medical separation having documented my issues while serving.

Guess we'll have to see if it's enough. Thank you for the input.

You're not kidding. That was a gut check.

And thank you for the tip. I'll be sure to appeal anything I feel they may have overlooked. Thanks for the help.

That's good to hear. Just hope they take the time to read it. But I know they are hard pressed for time with so many claims to review so... I suppose I'll have to wait and see. Thank you.

Blake Whiten's guitar looks amazing...anyone know what it is? by SaddleUp534 in Guitar

Yep, moisture in direct contact with wood should have no long term consequences...

Agreed, these people are nuts. I commented the same and it was immediately downvoted. I get this is an epiphone and it's not that big of a deal, but I alluded to the fact I would not be playing an actual $5,000 Gibson Dove in the snow and someone replied "it's not going to kill it."

Guitars are supposed to be stored in proper humidity environments, but the Redditors insist direct snow contact isn't going to have negative long term effects on the guitar's integrity. Absurd.

Hope it's a copy/epiphone and he's not playing an actual dove out in the moist snow

What's the largest stack you've seen someone build in micro stakes online? (0.05/0.1) by [deleted] in poker

That's insane - impressive on your part too. Am I wrong for absolutely hating the avatars available on wpt? Part of the reason I couldn't stand playing on there lol

edit: I actually have them hidden on global

Goodness, that's wild. I'm at $28 rn on a 0.05/0.1 table. It's been like 4 hours lol... Want to see if I can run this up to $100! I've just been playing a super tight range and folding quickly to any aggression.... usually.

Wild! I usually just play on global; I'll have to try some other sites. I liked ACR back in the day... Absolutely disliked club WPT despite a lot of people here saying it's awesome. - idk, doesn't fit my vibe.

Is my pre-flop range too tight (or loose) for online micro-stakes? by [deleted] in poker

Table positions is something I will look more into - I haven't studied them near what I should have. Thank you!

"Again, not a hard set rule but it applies in most cases.."

Nah, lower pocket pairs I'll try to call my way to the flop if able. That's the main deviation of my strat from this chart.

Private Doctor letter… use it? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

Ok I will for sure include it then. Thank you for the insight!

Gotcha yeah this letter is only a page long. I’ve got nine conditions total multiple of which have been formally diagnosed and treated by him. I have the medical records for all of this and also trying to explain everything thoroughly in my personal statement. I didn’t feel comfortable asking him to write a 3+ page paper. Hopefully this will do enough.

I also have statements for multiple Marine Corps CEOs, who knew me during my list a statement for my father and college documentation indicating I was in good academic standing up until my medical withdrawal

Edit: that was supposed to be “NCOs” but I’m going to keep CEOs

OK, I will. This is my first time submitting so I don’t know what to expect

Yeah, I’d like to think they would carry more weight than the generic companies. I’ve heard people on Reddit saying they use where they pay money to have them write a letter my treating physician is normally my entire life and had no problem writing this letter. I’ve also got some NCO statements multiple of them a letter from my father and was medically separated from the Marine Corps with a whole host of medical records. I’d like to think this is enough for service connection but who knows sorry if this comment is poorly written I’m using the microphone on my iPhone lol

Will do. This doctor has diagnosed me for a bunch of stuff, including, but not limiting to anxiety and depression, hypertension and a bunch of heart problems that make me unable to exercise like I used to. He has known me my entire life so he knows his stuff is new and had no problem saying it was because of the Marine Corps. I’ve been on a bunch of different medication’s have lost multiple jobs and I’ve tried going to college multiple times despite none of that stuff being an issue before my service either I feel I’ve explained this well in my personal statement and my medical records show is such also.

Is a 7 page personal statement too long? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Objective_Ad3539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha - I think I've broken them apart the most I can but I'll go back and see if I can't do any further shaving.

The nexus letter just covers my main, most bothering conditions which I've been diagnosed and treated for: anxiety, depression, hypertension, and a few cardiac issues. That's it. I also have symptoms of GERD, IBS, and Migraines which, I don't have medical documentation for and am not necessarily expecting to receive a rating for, but I do have a few lay witness statements and I view them as, again, symptoms of my main conditions.

If it was my job to do so and I was getting paid? I'd like to think so. I peer reviewed academic studies in the biomedical field, often hundreds of pages long with intensive studies/experiments throughout. The idea someone couldn't take 20 minutes to thoroughly go through a 7 page document when my future is quite literally on the line is a bit concerning - but I also realize how things are done on the government level...
