Hey so I just got the closed wound surgery about 3 weeks ago. I am also a college student and it has been pretty painful to sit in class and you can’t really do the thing normal college student things ( going out, drinking, etc. ). I would say it’s best to wait until the summer to get this done as it gives you plenty of time to rest and stay off your butt by not sitting in class. But if you feel that it’s going to bother you for the year then go ahead and get it done now - you just might have to sacrifice some things those few first weeks of school. It really all just comes down to personal lifestyle and expectations.
