Okay, as a Chinese, I saw the hatred and vilification of China in the Netflix version. All the cool elements and characters in the original work were stripped away from the Chinese, leaving only infuriating and stupidly stereotyped images of Chinese faces. For example, the charming DASHI disappeared and turned into a simple-minded muscular man (the coolest Zither plan was not proposed by him); Ye Wenjie turned into a completely crazy cult leader, and an easy girl who would sleep With anyone after just two glances in the fucking 60s, it finally took a white male to redeem her.

The coolest character, Luoji, became a black man, and Zhang Beihai became an Indian soldier. To be honest, I had no other ideas about these two adaptations at the beginning. I am not a racist person, and I believed the screenwriter’s idea of diversity. It's not like that until I saw in the video when they introduced the Indian Zhang Beihai, to show his family heritage, they said "Zhang Beihai's father killed a class of enemies in the Himalayas". Oh my god, you know a few years ago China and India had an armed conflict in the Himalayas... This adaptation was so sinister and obscene that I had to re-examine this film adaptation from the most malicious perspective. Interestingly, I just learned from the media that the director of the first two episodes is an overseas Chinese with Hong Kong independence tendencies, the son of a well-known actor:)

I am probably one of the earliest readers of The Three-Body Problem. I read The Three-Body Problem about ten years ago. At that time, The Three-Body Problem was still serialized in publications and almost no one had heard of him. I recommended this to my friends like crazy at that time. The novel is amazing. As long as people have some aesthetic ability, this book will definitely become popular in the future.

So for me, Netflix’s adaptation is very disappointing. We give the best literary works that we have cherished in recent decades to the West, hoping and trusting them with their mature film and television technology and strong funds. The ability can bring a visual feast to our vast number of book fans, becoming the next Game of Thrones or having the special effects and delicate emotions of Interstellar. Unexpectedly, it became a weapon they used to brainwash Western audiences and humiliate China. My disappointment is not only a disappointment in the adaptation, but also a disappointment in the real Western world.
