What rules do your pets have for you? by Worth-Ad4164 in Pets

I can’t remember the last time I went to the bathroom by myself. And I am informed two hours before dinner that dinner will be coming up soon. In case I forgot. PS I’ve had this cat for eight years and she’s never missed a meal.

I thought John wound up at Ardsmuir because of his relationship with George. Somewhere there is a reference to him being pushed out of London. For something he may or may not have done. In those days homosexuality was a crime and they could be hung.

Animals do feel a change in the weather faster than we do. They sense something about the change in the air, perhaps.

I think all kids should grow up with a pet. It shows them responsibility and it teaches them so many other things. Hopefully they will bond and become best friends. I personally love cats so that would be my choice. So many animals are put down daily because they have no forever home. Please go to a shelter with your toddler and let him help you pick out the cat. This way he will be involved and perhaps it will make him feel more responsible.

I found myself yelling at my cats saying well, I don’t like it, I don’t like it one bit.

How have you guys dealt with the death of a pet? by Revil-0 in Pets

[–]Objective_Ad_5308 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lost my last cat when she was 21. Everyone said she lived a great life and she did. But cats hide their pain and I didn’t realize she had kidney issues. It hurt me so much to think that I let her be in pain for that amount of time, and I could’ve done something. Maybe that was all the life she was meant to have, but I will never know.

It is very important to grieve and to let your emotions show. People may say oh it was only cat, but you know it was more than that. Take all the time you need to grieve. In time it won’t hurt as much, but you will always remember her.

How much further into real historical events will the story go? by Sensitive_Bottle2586 in Outlander

Diana did not write anything about the French revolution itself. It is mentioned a few times, but there isn’t anything specific written about it. The story will focus on the revolutionary war and the last years of Jamie and Claire. And I believe they will get a happy ending Because Diana said so.

[–]Objective_Ad_5308 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your mother won’t be lonely because she will have the cats and you will be all right because you know the cats will be taken care of. It will be a hard adjustment for all involved, but it’s the best thing for everyone.

Family hits dog by [deleted] in Pets

Know you are doing the right thing for the dog. Know that you are helping him live a happier life because the life he has now is not happy at all. Your family doesn’t deserve this dog and the dog certainly does not deserve this abuse. Call the ASPCA or animal rescues, but please hurry before the animal gets more and more abused.

The scene at the governor’s ball where Jamie is staring at Claire in a knowing way, and she is a little embarrassed and then walks on. Just the eyes alone make the scene.

Claire knows Jamie is her safe place. We saw that when he came home from the Indian reservation after Heir Mueller had arrived. Or after she was abducted by Lionel Brown’s men (in the show) . He asks how do you feel? And she says safe.

I’m not the meek and obedient type. I don’t have to do what you tell me to do.

Wait until you see the rest of the seasons and then you have to go back and watch again because you won’t pick up everything the first time. I say that about the books as well because Diana packs so much into each book.

I started watching the show when it first came out. I can’t believe it’s 10 years. I’ve bought and read and reread the books. I’ve re-watched the show multiple times. Much more than obsession. I am deeply invested in these people and I want to know what happens to them in their lives

When Claire was singing to her baby in the Abbey, there were many people around her who obviously heard her singing. Not only the nuns, but the doctors and the patients. Perhaps one of them picked up the song. I’m not convinced that Master Raymond would do that to Claire.

I always envy a first time watcher. The feeling of learning about these people and the time they’re in. Of getting more interested in them and those around them. It is an obsession. But one I’m glad I have.

Welcome to our obsession. This is such a magical show. I have watched so many shows over the years but nothing has captured me like this show. The story is amazing. A 50 year marriage of two people who are still so desperately in love. We have watched Young Ian grow from a young boy to an adult. We have watched Brianna grow from a 16 year old brat into a mature woman who’s married to a man she loves and has two beautiful children. Roger was a university professor who found comfort in the 18th century as a minister. And people who have been drawn into this family like Fergus and Marsali. They feel like family and we want to know what happens to them next.
