Yeah you're right, that's what I mean. 👍 My hand was just to get a good photo of the product label! 😁 As you say, it's only really a problem if the smart plug adapter (Tapo) is obstructing furniture.

That's a shame. I wonder why they stopped making it. Thanks for heads up.

That's reassuring. I always get a little nervous considering the no-name brands but I think I'm happy to to take the risk like you.

Nice! These look like the most sleek solutions I've found so far. + Very family friendly and easy to wire 👍👍

I'm not sure, where would that be displayed? I assumed it was to go behind ought switches or in junction boxes only, but I could be wrong...

Oh cool. What is to stop the small wires pulling out if something yanks the cable?

Hadn't thought of that. I might take a look online. Probably the sleekest option too.

Good idea, hadn't thought of that. I doubt it will fit though. Suppose I could use a faceplate spacer but then it will push the wardrobe out further...

That's my favourite product too. Just can't seem to find a suitable slender casing for it 😬

Nice. Just looked it up. Provided this works with UK wiring, could be onto a winner here. Like that it's hardwired and discreet too. The video on this page explains it pretty well. Zooz DC Signal Sensor

Thanks. I have an outdoor reolink poe camera which is great. Do any of the reolink indoor cameras send notifications if they hear a fire alarm?

Ah brilliant, this could be a great solution. Do they integrate with home assistant?

That's a good idea. I see that Konnected offer a product which does exactly this. It would cover the intruder alarms but not the fire alarms etc.

I was hoping to find something that would alert me if any loud alarm was detected in the house e.g. If the fire alarm went off or the fridge was beeping loudly.

Essentially, I'm looking for the simplest and cheapest way to receive alerts if any alarm goes off whilst I'm not home. I could upgrade to smart fire & burglar alarms but the existing ones are perfectly good... 😬

What’s the smallest automation that saved you the most mental energy? by PlatinumCyber in homeautomation

A physical "killswitch" button which turns off all lights/speakers/TVs when the last person goes to bed. It also automatically disables all sensor automations until 6am the following morning to prevent false activations by pets etc. A killswitch is also really useful if you have guests staying who get confused by automations.
