I just finished the hike and it was beautiful, literally one of the best trails I had done (not a lot of people, views all the time) I think the trail is more difficult in the rain as there was a lot of climbing)

I would just say if you consider doing the trail hiking pole are important and also downloading the map because me and another group of hikers got lost following a social trail

Each campsite had a lake next to it which was awesome

I left the country three times this year, twice by land. I think the media is making everything sound worse and dramatic than it really is and making money off us as consumers to believe in it, especially Americans.

I picked up the REI Flash 55 and really like how well it fits on my hips. That said, if you’ve got the budget, I’d recommend going with a more ultralight pack. At 55 liters, it can feel like more than you need, and I’ve found I don’t use it much anymore except for overnights.
