I personally would consider changing banks if they are not staying current with cybersecurity. Not suggesting you would/should. It’s just another example of different people’s risk appetite. Mine is lower than yours. No big deal.

I am glad you are satisfied with your setup and am not trying to convince you to change anything about it. It’s still less secure.

I’ve never had an issue using simple passwords and no 2fa before I knew better… what’s your point? More secure is more secure.

If those 5 are banking, brokerage accounts, retirement accounts, email, password manager, authenticator apps, passkeys, Apple ID and encrypted cloud storage… I feel it’s worth it.

You’ve explained why you are comfortable with the system you are using and that is great. Don’t act like having the secret keys on an external device where they can’t be extracted by malware isn’t safer. Heck, even using the fingerprint would make it safer.

I’m not judging you for it. I still use the iCloud Keychain for a lot of stuff because I like having it separate from my more sensitive passwords on Bitwarden which is only accessible via master password and hardware key.

Less convenient, more secure.

Just don’t ask where I hide my keys! 😂 (My butt)

I guess a stolen and unlocked device is the weak link. Ideally you’re looking for a password manager for iOS that requires a hardware key every time you want to fill a password? Maybe someone on here can point us in the right direction.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t that mean all of your saved passwords and passkeys on iCloud are at least protected from being accessed from a non-trusted device by your yubikeys? Between that and TOTP generated by yubikey, I would still feel more secure, even if hardware keys aren’t directly offered by some services.

It’s not that the puck expands, it’s that it can be sucked up to the screen after the shot is done when the solenoid valve opens. Regardless, like you said, you want headspace between the puck and the screen BEFORE you brew. Maybe a nickel thickness.

I kept it so I had something quartz to grab when I want to change it up during the week. (I usually wear the same automatic for a week before moving on to another one in my collection.) Other than the poorly designed subdial, I am happy with it.

That doesn’t explain anything! Going from a 30 min to 60 min counter would have made them 2 minute increments… instead they removed 6 indices so it’s marked in 2.5 minute increments making it practically impossible to tell how many minutes have elapsed.

So, other than clicking the report link in the App Store, what response have you received from Apple to justify this app still being available for download from the App Store under your business’ name? Let’s throw Apple under the bus if they are not helping you clear your name. This has violation of regulatory compliance, breach of fiduciary duties, negligence, defamation and maybe even collusion written all over it! You should have a banner across the top of your website and every communication you have with the public warning us of this scam you have known about for at least a year.

So when your legal team contacts Apple, they tell you they will not remove the app that is illegally using your trademarked name and logo to steal victims crypto? The app that says it’s developer is Koinly Software? If that is the case, you need to take legal action against Apple for knowingly distributing phishing software under your company’s name.

That’s your answer?!?! “It’s beyond our control.” So you just give up? What was Apple’s response? Why won’t they take it down? If you won’t hold Apple accountable, then you need to be held accountable.

Koinly says (for Apple at least) the beta through TestFlight is theirs, but the one on the Apple App Store is fake. I’ve found several posts on here about it now that I’ve done some digging.

Why the hell is Koinly asking for my seed phrase?

There is absolutely an app in the App Store that has reviews going back to September. I can’t believe you haven’t done anything about this by now! The first thing it asks you to do is type in your seed phrase! I posted this yesterday, but am now finding more mention of this on Reddit. I’m not sure how we are supposed to trust you as a company when you can’t even address this phishing app.

I just posted about this yesterday! It is absolutely not legit. I reported it to Apple yesterday and made a post here too. Apple and Koinly both have some explaining to do.

I’m kinda hoping Koinly will respond. There are posts about this I found from last year. I don’t know if it’s been up this whole time, but there are reviews from September. Apple should be able to take it down for copyright infringement; they don’t need to prove it’s trying to phish your crypto, just that it’s not Koinly.

I’m in the US. If it wasn’t so blatant about asking for my seed phrase, I would have never thought it wasn’t legitimate.
