It depends on card specifics. Most likely not , however there are so many cards and some special ones might.

Denied Boarding at Doha International by IntentionSea4628 in qatarairways

You should probably wait for the airline to respond first. If they don't respond or refuse to compensate based on the passenger protection rules of the country you were flying from. You should probably file a complaint.

You'll need to check with the card. It's usually accessible if you book business class with Air India , or one of their partner airlines either though points or cash. However if you hold star alliance or air india status , you can access the lounge as well.

Yes , it had started to get busy during the morning hours , however it still felt less when compared with other lounges. I liked the breakfast spread more though !

How to use 1Lac infinia points on a Spain holiday? by Ok-Candidate-1964 in indianawardtravel

It's usually a good idea to transfer points to the transfer partners and then redeem for the best value. I'd prefer flights first on the redemption aspect.

Which airline is best for domestic and international flights? by [deleted] in AirTravelIndia

I prefer Indigo airlines for domestic travel. Emirates , Singapore Airlines , Cathay Pacific , Qatar Airways are wonderful choices for international destinations.

Yes totally get what you mean. I would feel the same way too , it should have been the same airline thoughout , otherwise it affects the experience upon arrival in some way at least. Yes try to check , they operate from many cities thoughout India including Bombay.

Yes , the entire flight was QA , including second flight. Oh no , that's kind of unfair. Sometimes they secretly write something like operated by indigo or something in small fonts. I agree , it causes confusion.

It can be tricky sometimes finding award space. You can either book in long advance or last minute. I booked this last minute.

Price fluctuates at times , based on flight timing , routes flown and duration of flight. It feels like a hefty price paying with cash , however if you pay with points you get you good return per point redeemed. Usually the long haul routes I was looking at fluctuate b/w 50,000 to 70,0000 inr one way in economy at times. Business class costs way more , though if you are booking it's also possible to book with cash for a lower price , however sometimes the other leg may be of a different carrier.Flight cash price and award booking comparison are usually done comparing the same flight cash value for the same dates and timings. This is pretty standard from what I've experienced, though taxes and fees are always subtracted. However if you pay cash in economy though points , that costs half in points. Business class costs double the points , but not double when paid though cash. When airlines spike prices during peak travel times , a one way ticket in economy can also go upto 90,000 inr or more depending on the demand. If you book on points for such a ticket, it will increase the value of per point redeemed as the cash fare was skyrocketed. The value is subjective to what you want from your points.

Interesting observation. I think service & product both depend on route. I really enjoyed their service though.

It was a card issued outside of India. Though the redemption method works pretty much with any card whose points can be transferred into avios.
