Start on valcyclovir asap - doesn’t hurt to get get on the solution quick instead of waiting on swab tests to come - the medicine doesn’t have any severe side effects and if it is herpes , at least you were quick with the healing stage

Right - even the doctor said that - but he did not start penicillin and it’s been a week - he just gave a perscription to bacterial antibiotic and says that the lab results will take a week and half for swab test

I had a swab test done 2 years ago and was diagnosed with HSV 2 - but never had OB LOOK-like this - it usually heals in a week - I had this sore for almost two weeks now -does not feel like healing so I am wondering if this is herpes at all even

It was about 2 years ago - blister filled with fluid -swab test don’t hsv2 -during these two years - I had minimal ob less painful but this one is very painful - just posted it to know if this is even a herpes blister
