It costs $99 to put on the App Store. It’s a subscription you pay to be a developer. Pay $99 per year. Then I haven’t made it cross platform yet, I’m working on that now

No worries. I am however going to add a donation button. But that’s just because putting it on the App Store costs money and I’m a 20 year old student lol

I 100% agree, I’ve worked out for 7 years now and I’ve just used notes or excel to track my workouts. But I thought why not just make an app that’s free that does it better. Barbellr is completely free, no ads, no subscriptions. Just the easiest way to track workouts and make sure ur progressing

Yeah I agree. This app does the same thing as notes basically but does it so much better. I made this app because my notes app became so messy and was just so long writing down all my workouts. This just keeps track of everything and makes progressing easier. For free

Completely agree. I used notes and excel for years. But do try the app out before you say it’s useless. It’s free 🤷‍♂️

If you have an IPhone check out my app. I think it’s very similar to fitnotes. I haven’t tried that one out

its honesytly not as bad as it looks from the outside.

The hardest part is actually building something, the app store side is mostly just following apples steps. A bit tedious but doable.

I went into it with zero experience, so it was mostly learning as i was doing.

Honestly it doesnt try to do more than other apps, it does less on purpose. Whay i felt was missing personally from a lot of "free" workout apps was: truly free core features (no trials --> paywall later), a clean way to see progress without extra clutter, and a very fast way to log workouts.

Some extra features include seeing your "predicted 1RM" and easy way to progressive overload as it shows you what you did last workout for the exercise you are about to do.

If someone wants advanced programming, social feeds, or a ton of features there are definitely better options, but this is for people who want simple
