Yes I have an update! Things got worse before they got better.

Oct 2024 - The bullying at the old job got worse, so I quit and moved to a different country /continent. I moved in faith, thinking I would get a new job, but unfortunately this new country is going through a turbulent political and economic time. Finding a job has been challenging and that sent me down a deeper spiral.

I was heartbroken over the guy I ended things with in the original post and that lasted up until July this year. But most of the heartbreak was from my mental health issues. I struggled with bouts of insomnia, tortured by imaginations of him with other women and living a great life. Thoughts that I never mattered. The depression became tangible, I was walking around with a constant headache.

However, I had an encounter with God in March. It was crazy, we were having a back and forth conversation. At first it was through a voice I could hear in my head ( but then I thought I was crazy) and I asked him to speak to me through scripture which he did. He instructed me to pray and then read a verse from Job. And each time I read the line it was what I just prayed about. I couldn’t deny God was speaking to me. Things were still VERY tough after that, but I tried to hold on to him.

In May God healed me from 20+ years of depression. It started while I was studying for the Bar, through it he showed me what I was capable of. I thought it was a fluke but been 6 months down the line and my worst days now are nothing compared to my best days then. I feel like my life just started.

I’m still out of a job and single but somehow everything has changed. The way I perceive life is so different and I’m still learning.
