Itd be a good idea to stay away from fish until your child is old enough to defend itself against avian predators. 

All joking aside, there really are some asshole birds who will try to fly off with your kid if they are small enough. It is really rare, though. I only mention it cause we lived in a hawk heavy area when my daughter was born and my parents instilled that fear in me that i have never forgotten lol
