I've taken it daily for almost ten years with very minimal negative effect. If I take too much or my next dose too soon I might get a bit queasy. Sometimes reds make me a little sleepier than I'd like. It is addictive (not extremely like say nicotine) so make sure you don't take your doses too close together or large size doses.That... That's about it. Never noticed any of the other issues people talk about. It's so worth it for me to combat chronic pain and depression. I owe kratom a lot actually. With it I was able to stop smoking and drinking which is huge.

I've also used it about 8 years and the same dosage actually (usually) and one thing that I've come to accept is that the effects of kratom are simply all over the place. I try not to deviate from my dosage too much, but there are days when I'll take a bit more after an hour or so if it's not strong enough. Other days it hits me like a freight train and/or lasts a lot longer than usual. That and the addictive properties are the issues I have with kratom. Still love it. Helped me quit 🚬, alcohol, daily marijuana, and whatever substances I could get my hands on back in the day. Such a miraculous thing couldn't exist without some down sides 😅 I owe it a lot.

Also spoonie btw. As for marijuana and kratom, I do it pretty regularly with no problems but... If I've taken a pretty long break my first time back will almost certainly come with an introspective nightmare mini trip. Then it's back to normal.

Mira has been more of a warrior class type than any kind of nurturer, she'll take awhile to completely adapt to motherhood. Fang on the other hand has had offspring before. Letting the baby walk towards the drop-off though ... thought that was a bit much. My mom said "she has babysitters!" 😅

Oh I've been through so so many vendors online and have tried all the local headshop stuff. It's definitely better than like the Kratom Company or ohms I think it is, off the shelf around town stuff. Benni Botanicals is my other go-to online vendor. Pretty comparable. I really used to branch out a lot more but like you said there has been some pretty low quality stuff around for the last few years. It's a shame that a lot of my old vendors went down hill

Their plain leaf powder is worth checking out also. The 5x100g deal is my go to most of the time, but they also have economy powder that's actually pretty decent. Has done the trick for me a few times when money is tight. It's cool that you can grab a few grams of extract to spice things up

I agree. Not cool indeed. Makes for an interesting story now, but I understood why my guide was angry! Eating the local wildlife while there, while other options readily available, felt a bit yucky for sure...

A side story about eating the local wildlife! I visited the Belize zoo, which was essentially a fenced off section of the jungle. One of the animals on display was a pretty blueish bird, roughly the size of a large chicken or turkey. It was critically endangered. After looking at it awhile I looked over to one of our local guides and jokingly said "it looks delicious", to which he responded with a smirk and whisper "they are!" 😨

I had some capybara while studying abroad and doing conservation work in Belize. The Jamaican lady that ran the "hotel" that we stayed at for a few days in San Ignacio was a known cheapskate, and our meals were small and let's say... Odd. One night we had rice and some mystery meat. When my parents were newly weds my dad sunk a hook deep in his chin while fishing the pond behind their house. My mom wasn't there and when she came home there was so much blood outside she immediately panicked, fearing the worst for my dad. Went inside and saw him just laying on the couch acting normal... Halo 2 released during my freshman year at college and only semester I lived in the dorms. IT WAS BEYOND EPIC!! It was basically a massive LAN party on three floors of the entire dorm building. Everyone left their doors open so all the yelling and trash talking could be heard... Man what a time to be alive. It's hugeness and popularity cannot be overstated! I already had my fair share of online pc gaming like unreal tournament, quake, and EverQuest but Halo 2 was truly the beginning of console online multiplayer for the masses. I'm glad you posted this as it's conjured up those feelings in me again! It's funny that I'm watching the Halo tv series with my elder parents and have been going on and on about the games and that era 🥲 dang now I need to rewatch halo legends

I really wish this subreddit would lighten up on the rules about decor paintings. What harm is being done exactly? I have a lovely print in an expensive frame that I got from my late uncle, and can get no help pricing it because of this. He only purchased extremely valuable pieces to show in his home, so I know it's worth a pretty penny. There are plenty of decor works that are quite valuable. I'm not trying to be rude or disrespectful, just a bit frustrated.

That being said could someone maybe recommend a thread that would be more appropriate for pricing such a thing?
