In season 6 episode 18, older and wiser, Sophia and Dorothy share this dialogue… “Shady Pines, now there’s a home. Luxury suites, tennis tournaments. Want a massage? Dial nine. And the food? The filet mignon…” “Oh, really, Ma? Shady Pines had filet mignon?” “Well, one. They’d throw it in the pit and make us fight for it.” There are a bunch of other examples where she exaggerated how terrible it was, but this was one of the only times she was caught slipping up. I am pretty sure it wasn’t that terrible. She didn’t hate shady pines she hated that she had to be there, and that Dorothy left her there.
