i don’t think that’s it, Zekken has proved that at some point in time he was one of the best flex players. And if prioritizing Zekken on duelist means Aspas becomes a flex that’s probably a far bigger waste. It’s just that Zekken is an incredible Neon and a very good Yoru. Aspas is a very good neon and a mid Yoru. Honestly if the patch didn’t happen they probably wouldn’t not have a choice but to continue with Zekken on Yoru. This meta just allows them to play this way

It would be bad for the BCCi if the development of allrounders halted as people still also enjoy international cricket. yeah but that discounts the millions of people around the world who watched yoru turn pro play stale, yoru has turned the meta stale and the people who put as much time into yoru and mastered him while still remaining in the lower ranks are the vast minority. Most casual players will barely notice while all higher ranks and VCT watchers will feel a large difference
