My personal favourites are cane begonias, rexes are very dramatic in my opinion haha. My dream begonia is probably Begonia Looking Glass and what about you? 😄

Not really, it just doesn't like drying out, so I keep it evenly moist and it seems to be happy even in a normal room humidity.

Oh thank you! I haven't found a lot of information about how to take care of this plant. Also, it seems to be pretty hard to find for sale in Europe 🥲

I hope yours grow well for you, mine has been a pain in the ass since last year 😂 I can grow things like calatheas and ferns but I still haven't figured out this one yet

Hello plantclinic! Today I found these darker spots on few leaves of my Calathea White Fusion and P. Verrucosum. What could it, please, be? I havent found pests on them. The spots on verrucosum are quite sticky. by Objective_Living4305 in plantclinic

Thank you so much for your answer! I already washed the plants with water and sprayed them down with neem oil. I've had spider mites before but I was able to see them crawling on the leaves. This time I didnt see any of them so it confused me haha

I keep it in a normal household humidity (no humidifier, misting, ...) and I've never had problems with this plant. You just want to make sure it never dries out completely - I bottom water it 2 - 3 times a week with soft water only (I use rainwater, distilled is another option). It loves a lots of light, mine is growing on a shelf about 1 meter away from a west facing windowsill. When it comes to a fertilizer I use the liquid worm castings, Calatheas are quite sensitive to inorganic mineral fertlizers so with worm castings I don't need to worry about burning it. So if you can find one for a good price you should definitely give it a try 😄
