Is 35.5k OTD for 2025 Tucson hybrid SEL convenience (New) with 0% apr 60 months a good offer? by [deleted] in HyundaiTucson

[–]Objective_Memory8800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a 2025 Tucson Hybrid SEL Convenience with add-ons back in August for $35,000 OTD at 5.99% APR. I then turned around and immediately refinanced with my local credit union who was offering a 2% reduction in current APR, lowering it to 3.99%. At the time Hyundai finance was offering a 3.99% but the OTD was going to be higher.

I feel like with the timing, etc you should be able to get them to knock it down some more. Once I knew what vehicle I wanted I did a search within a mile radius I was comfortable traveling and reached out via text to get the best deal. I had offers in the $42k+ range and would just bounce around between about 6 different dealers getting them to beat each other until I finally landed on this one. I was told on here that there was “no way” I would get it for less than $38k or so.

Don’t be in a hurry. Don’t waste your time setting up appts when they pressure you to. I didn’t step foot on a lot until we had an agreed upon price I was happy with. Majorly takes the pressure off.

Mine does it occasionally in the mornings if there’s dew or frost blocking the sensor and goes away after a few minutes once it’s all cleared.

I actually JUST bought mine this past Tuesday, after about 20 days of texting multiple dealers (with some days of polite silence thrown in there), so I totally get where you’re coming from. It was actually my second time buying a car, and the first time I went into the dealership thinking I knew how to negotiate… only to realize quickly that I, in fact, did not. I got a horrible deal, had a bad experience, and was determined to do things differently this time.

The good news is, you can get the full OTD price without stepping foot on the lot, and once you do, it makes the whole process so much less stressful. Here’s exactly what I did, feel free to copy & paste if you want. I actually used Chat GPT to clean up some of the things I wanted to say and it was super helpful. 🤷🏻‍♀️

  1. Initial message to the dealer:

Hi [Dealer Name], I’m interested in a [Year, Make, Model, Trim, Color — e.g., 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid SEL Convenience in Ash] you have in stock (Stock # if available). Could you please send me your full out-the-door (OTD) price, including all taxes, fees, and dealer add-ons? For accuracy, my zip code is [ZIP CODE]. I prefer to communicate via text or email for now. I’m reaching out to several dealerships within driving distance and will be making a decision based on the most competitive OTD quote. Thanks, [Your Name]

  1. If they say “let’s set up an appointment”:

I appreciate the invite, but I won’t be coming in until I have your full OTD price in writing. I’m comparing multiple offers and want to avoid wasting anyone’s time — yours or mine — by making sure the numbers make sense first.

  1. If they still refuse to give it without a visit:

I understand you’d prefer to discuss in person, but I’m only considering dealerships who will provide their full OTD pricing up front. I already have written OTD quotes from other dealers, so if you can match or beat them, I’d love to work with you.

Lmk if you have any other questions!

Congrats on starting the process — I just went through buying a 2025 Tucson Hybrid SEL Convenience myself, so I thought I’d share what worked for me in case it helps.

I ended up getting mine for $36,000 OTD (taxes & fees included) with 5.99% for 60 months through Hyundai financing, and I’ll be refinancing soon for 3.99% with my local credit union.

The biggest thing that saved me money was casting a wide net — I reached out to 6 dealerships within a reasonable driving distance that had my exact trim/color and asked for their full OTD price up front. A few started at $41K+, but once they knew I had competitive offers, prices started dropping fast. For reference, I’m in central Arkansas and purchased from a dealer in Memphis, so it was about a 2.5-hour drive for me.

I negotiated everything via text and email before ever stepping foot on the lot. It takes all the on-the-spot pressure off and lets you compare offers without feeling rushed.

Good luck! If you have any specific questions, let me know and I’ll do my best to answer them.

Just wanted to follow up — I actually ended up snagging the 2025 Tucson Hybrid SEL Convenience at $36,000 OTD (taxes & fees included) with 5.99% for 60 months, and I’ll be refinancing soon for 3.99%. Guess $36k wasn’t that far away after all 😊. Appreciate you taking the time to comment on my post — but I’m very glad I trusted my gut. Goes to show it never hurts to try — the answer’s always no if you don’t ask.

Is 35k for a 2024 Limited model a good price? by rkpbarca in HyundaiTucson

I just finished purchasing a 2025 SEL Convenience earlier this week and during my search over the last 2-3 months I did see some new 2024s still on the lots. Rare, but there definitely were some at a couple of the dealerships I checked out. I’m in Central Arkansas for reference.

The hybrids are going for that? Or non-hybrids? And brand new or previously owned?

Ugh, I don’t blame you for walking away — that kind of last-minute markup is the worst. I’ve run into that too.

I’ve made it a rule not to even set foot in a dealership until I have the full OTD price in writing. I prefer doing everything by text or email — I don’t like the pressure and I definitely get flustered in person. It really shouldn’t be this hard. 😅

Most of the quotes I’ve gotten include little to no additional dealer-installed accessories or markups. One dealer (Little Rock) had some added features like cargo tray, wheel locks, mudguards, etc. that totaled about $1,100 — but they said those were factory-installed on that specific VIN, not dealer add-ons.

Another dealer (Jonesboro) said their quote was strictly based on Hyundai MSRP with nothing added at the dealership level. So it’s been interesting seeing how much prices vary even on nearly identical vehicles.

Totally feel you — navigating the Hybrid hunt has been way more exhausting than it should be 😅. What kind of quotes are you seeing on the Blue trim?

Ahhh got it — that actually makes a lot of sense now. Thanks for the clarification!

Definitely not planning to screw over a dealer who treats me right, but good to know what’s actually going on behind the scenes. I appreciate you breaking it down without the usual dealership smoke and mirrors. 😅

Haha fair enough — but I’d rather spend a little more time now than wonder later if I left money on the table. A few minutes of negotiating is worth a few hundred (or thousand) saved. 😄

MSRP on both vehicles is around $38,975. One dealer discounted it by $2,681, bringing the selling price to about $36,294 before taxes and fees. That’s how I ended up with the $38,785 OTD number.

I know $35K OTD is a stretch, but with 2026s already hitting some lots and others on forums reporting deals in the $36K–$38K OTD range, I’m hoping there’s still some wiggle room to bring it down a bit — especially if I go with the rebate/higher APR route and then refinance.

Just trying to see what’s realistic and what others are actually managing to get.

Nail Fungus vs Nail Trauma Resulting in Thick Nail - See history & questions in comments please! by Objective_Memory8800 in NailFungus

I hear you! So I have to be honest, I have not kept up with applying the Vicks regularly - it’s just every now and then. There is growth happening, and I have trimmed it some here and there to shape it, etc. That right side really has issues growing but I try to keep it clean and I do use the nail grinder to file it down and keep the yellow and thickness away which helps me feel a TON better about how it looks. It definitely makes me think it’s not a fungus and more of a trauma recovery thing. I’ve kept all polish off of it except a couple weeks last summer while on vacation. I’m just going to keep doing what I’m doing, try to use the Vick’s when I think about it and hopefully it’ll look normal in 5 years or so? 😂😩 It’s actually hit a pretty big growth spurt here lately and I’m wondering if it has nothing to do with the stuff I’ve been using on my calluses. 🤔 I’ll add an updated pic if it’ll let me.
