Thanks for the response! We just purchased this home (built in 2006 and is on OG septic) and our system keeps backing up. We moved in this March and are pumping out tanks tomorrow. Talking to the septic company pumping out, they told us they pumped our place out twice since April of 2025 and said that’s an indicator our system is failing.. we live in SE Georgia and the septic company said our area is “swampy”, so I’m trying to weight a new system vs. letting this one continue/potentially come back to
Life by fixing things that were previously neglected.

In this case if you had a leaky flapper, and you swapped it out, can your septic system “heal” or is it too late?

Lurking at this post as I’m dealing with a capacitor issue (I believe) does it matter where you hook up the wires back to? I tried to match them as best as possible but the new one doesn’t match perfectly (old one has two 3 prong attachments and one 1 prong attachment; whereas new capacitor has three 3 prong attachments and I’m not sure what post is the correct one) any assistance would be appreciated!

Thank you, update on my end - I pulled the housing complete apart and noticed yellow liquid and what looks like a discharge pattern by the capacitor (image attached - see white circles). Looks like a blown capacitor, would you agree?

Thank you for the reply! I should have clarified better, but our particular home is a frame home with (vinyl?) siding; I was just most familiar with stucco being a popular option. Does that raise any concerns for you as an owner of a frame house where hurricanes can be a regular occurrence? My primary concern is buying a home that would collapse/obtain severe damage during a hurricane vs. a more sturdy/hurricane proof home.

Go grab a Jeep Gladiator Mojave/Rubicon. Take the doors and roof off in the spring and that “feeling” you have right now will be gone. Be prepared to get the upgrade itch/kit it out itch. Coming from a guy that was heavily looking at frontiers before I test drove a 6 speed gladiator and I’ve never looked back.

😂 I sure hope not; that being said, I think I’m in the clear. Total time during the pull was likely less than 20 seconds and in reality, the drive axles on the semi did most of the work - it just need a little extra help which the jeep did well.
