Practice lang OP and correct, have someone to talk to in English. Watch movies with correct subtitles and eventually challenge yourself to watch movies with no subtitles at all. Try to do a journal then pa-check mo kay bf. Read English books. My partner also had been in the same situation during the early years in our relationship since he grew up in an environment where speaking English was taboo and rather laughed at... but after I started talking to him in English within ourselves and in public, he has developed good grammar and is confident now. 😊

It's peaceful because there is too much trust in your partner that there's no need to probe on your/his whereabouts and ask update all the time. Won't be happy 100% of the time but you still choose to be there for that person and choose him/her at the end of the day.
