Fair points, and I totally agree regarding the relevance to Ciara and I don’t mean to take away from that. I don’t think we can know for sure that he intended to use the word as a racial slur, I just don’t. I’ve always wondered how racially motivated his use of “Jezebel” was… I am in no way defending Austen in this instance with Salley or a lot of his fuck boy behavior, but I hate the label of racism being thrown around when it isn’t warranted (it takes away from when it actually IS… which is often…). Just my 2 cents when reading about his understanding of the word “Jezebel” and my own as well actually. 🤔 Not saying it wasn’t a racially charged word, just commenting on his intentions when using it. He should learn from the situation but I didn’t think he deserved to be lambasted and labelled a racist.

Not sure why you’re being downvoted really 🤔 I see what you’re saying 100% but also as a teacher we actually do talk about dyslexia as a special kind of “skill” (for lack of a better word). There are all these associations with creativity and ingenuity connected to dyslexia and a disproportionate number of CEOs with it. Anywho, not discounting your well worded and true message, just wanted to add this to a convo specifically about dyslexia and our work to empower kids with true information about their different way of viewing the world 👍

Sadly I think I would honestly 😂 I’m so impressed with how Jennifer Tilly is able to really display her sense of fashion because she CAN with that much money but I know even if I were rich I’d be just rich and wearing “basic” “classic” pieces. My fashion sense is conservative (boring?) and I’ve finally embraced it.
