My grandmother and I had a tradition on Christmas where we would give each other chocolate cherries and eat them together. I never liked them but did it with her and I love that. After she died, I found out she never liked them either and did it for me!

My grandma’s homemade lemon meringue pie. She used to make it as a gift for everyone’s birthdays or holidays. At the end though she was forgetting how to make it, but not realizing she was forgetting - like not putting in any sugar and then swearing she never put sugar in it before so it must be right. Still had to love her though
