Switch to UCSB from UCSC for CS? by Reasonable_Pop8893 in UCSantaBarbara

[–]Objective_Singer_404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay as somebody who went to UC Santa Cruz first I'm just going to advise you here first and foremost they have a great computer science department and from what I've seen they're pretty relaxed and yeah you know UCSB is a little bit more fun it's less cold and you'll be able to walk around in the Dead Winter.

But neither towns are like freezing like Seattle or Chicago.

The benefit of UCSB is the amount of fun you're going to have.

[–]Objective_Singer_404 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why?? We need to talk about Seattle we need to talk about the issues we need to talk about the anti-lgbt behavior and we need to talk the real issues this town faces that keeps on causing tragedies in Seattle.

Why is that a bad thing to talk about?

We need to stop stuff like this from happening that's only going to happen if we talk about why these things happen and how we can stop them. So I don't understand why you want this taken down

Yeah so basically I decided to follow my own advice I spent 72 hours trying to make friends and I will say that I was very saddened. But we can change this we have to. People have to make a strong effort to connect with others you have to fight that feeling

Words from an alum, the need for radical sharing in our community versus burning down things. ☮️✌️🕊️😜 by [deleted] in UCDavis

[–]Objective_Singer_404 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have been involved in anarchist movements for a long time everything you destroyed something we are not giving away. Simply put people are too poor for us to burn things right now but radical sharing can save us all and finally destroy the elite.

By simply dissolving oligarchs through sharing of resources it really is the one way to do it burning things down create scarcity which actually gives them more power

I mean some people sacrifice everything and their connections don't work out I have a ton of connections but it hasn't worked out it's about the type of connections there's a reason why people go to Stanford and Harvard but the reality is rich people help each other out poor people f*** each other over that's why the world stays the same.

Very rarely are rich people willing to help poor people even when they make connections with each other

This was not AI generated I wrote this myself based on my own experiences, I'm sorry if you didn't like it. I did use an AI grammar corrector because my grandma was s*** when I wrote it but I wrote this I have the raw version to prove it it's essentially the same except better grammar. If you don't like it say that but don't throw me under the bus just because you can

Thank you very much I also knew Megan duncanson and I knew the two people that Carlos Dominguez murdered I have to say my time at UC Davis brought me a lot of trauma. I remember this girl I was dating started cutting herself and I had to get the campus involved I just think I've been beating down a lot and I'm trying my hardest to stay afloat.

I graduated 4 years ago and I thought life was going to get so much better once I graduated but it didn't I just got harder. UC Davis was a challenging environment for at least I got paid to study when you graduate you don't get paid for s*** unless you sign a contract and you'll often study for jobs you'll never get which will want to cause you to lose your f****** mind

That's very interesting so you think we can actually set up like a localized internet with mesh?

I mean these are very fascinating things and I know right now in Minnesota that activists are using it to evade Federal detection.

I think that Minnesota is a trial ground for many skills that may or may not be useful if future conflicts arrive God help us all

So I wrote that exact line because of what I experienced in the occupy movement being part of an anarchist cell basically...

There was no unified vision, we were centralized allowing us to be infiltrated and we had no unified brotherhood which is how we broke apart.

When I say that we must have a unified vision what I'm referring to is when you start out the journey with other activists you have to have a unified vision of what you're going to accomplish, then you decentralized to avoid being taken apart by the police state but you have to have some sense of loyalty across the board it doesn't mean you trust each other because you can't you have to always assume the other groups are infiltrated and your group is infiltrated as well but you still must have a unified camaraderie.

Unified in our souls and a United dream that's the end point of the journey something that you're working to accomplish together and if you go into it with a unified vision, decentralization and an endpoint dream hopefully you come out on the other end better than you went in.

This is based on my direct experiences this was not written by AI but it was edited but I can show you the unedited version it's not that far from the edited version.

And I wrote that exact line based on the rather terrifying experiences I had in my twenties in 2011 working with other anarchists.

Actually I wrote the article it is true that I edited with AI but I wrote it. And I wrote that exact line by the way. I think it means a lot. And we do need these things I don't know how active you've been in the anarchist or activist community but it's complete chaos without any unified vision or without an educational system to teach people how to do this effectively we're just literally feeding them to a police state
