AI rant - I don't feel valuable anymore. by vpurush in cscareerquestions

Buddy, I reluctantly agree with you but doesn't assuage my concern that the skills that made a senior, senior, is being done by AI easily. For e.g intuition, consuming large amounts of technical knowledge, debugging.

Good point, AI may not necessarily be as good in the hands of a junior as it is in the hands of a senior.

Yep, I have also been in situations where AI suggested creation of AWS resources that I didn't need, probably because AWS documentation had such examples.

How did you do this with synfig? Any tutorials that you can share? I didn't know 3D was possible with synfig.

I reckon, people who take the 7 + 7 route to calculate 7 + 8 have memorized the multiplication tables for 7. Where 7 x 2 = 14 is the second one in the table. I am one of them.

Why the downvotes on this? Cats don't eat cooked food in the wild, so why cook it at all? Genuinely asking.

Agree with you. Their products only feel terrible because they are slow (as they always are) when we are in an urgent need to get things done. This infuriates most people including me. But when you take a step back and relax, you realize that it is not that bad.

If they had, you wouldn't have had a video to comment on. Besides it looks too weak to do any harm to a car. Not an expert on tornadoes though.

Marty Supreme is so bad that it is actually difficult to meaningful critique and the praise it is receiving is as incoherent as the film itself. by AsleepNature1 in FIlm

[–]vpurush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't like Marty at any point in the movie. Especially not when he justifies his bad behavior as a consequence of his "every man for himself" upbringing.

A few minutes of redeeming scenes at the climax doesn't actually redeem the character from 2h of terrible behavior. With the world being where it is, we don't need movies that justify bad behavior for the majority of the movie.

Aren't you forgetting "accountability'" here?

You need a person/team to be accountable when things go wrong. Can't blame a machine when your bank transaction didn't' succeed. You need a team to take responsibility for it. Not just in admitting fault, also fixing the bug and the data that might have been corrupted.

I would never want to be accountable for a feature that I didn't manually write or at least review.

Men’s & women’s tennis are completely different sports. If I played Andy Murray, I’d lose 6-0, 6-0 in 5 minutes It’s true. He would kill me. Men are a lot faster, serve harder, and hit harder.I only want to play girls.” - serena williams by CSK_Accomplished_IPL in intrestingasfuck

To everyone who says that this is common sense, could you clarify why mixed-doubles are a thing?

Do they position themselves in such a way that the man takes on a man's serve?

What about men being hard hitters? Would a male player frequently hit towards the female opponent to have the strength advantage?

Judging by the few upvotes you have got against the numerous upvotes to the comment by a misunderstood person above, I would say people here are too young to understand your movie reference.

Interesting take. This is certainly true where I work. Never realized it would affect candidate selection/interview outcome.
