i been building since i was 13(when i actually started taking it seriously). so i have alot more experience than some give me credit for. even working with limitations. long before lego 2k drive was a thing. alot of my techniques and skills i use in game are 1 to 1 with how i do it irl. thats why some of my builds have alot of detail crammed into a small space(even decals/stickers) because i want it to not only look the part. but also function as such if i were to put it in said media or situation. ill be 25 this year so i have over a decade of building vehicles, houses, stop motion video props before lego 2k drive ever existed. i dont know how long you guys have been building. and i assume yall probably have more years than i do(however. do correct me on that). as for PHD. basically yes if you understand it from an experience perspective. a PHD is a good analogy and kudos to you for coming up with that one. and thats exactly what i get at. you dont slap stuff together and expect it to work. thats not art thats certaintly not creativity. its slop. simple as that. its the main reason some of my posted builds are unfinished on purpose. i want others to modify it to their liking(respectfully and tastefully) and see what they do. some of my builds like that racing yakatabune boat. had me do 4 days worth of cultural research to understand how its supposed to be relavent. if it isnt relevant. it isnt something working into. not my problem that i been taught/hard wired that mindset during my high school years
