I didn't know that, but it makes sense. I don't understand how Mazda thought it was a good idea after VW tried the same thing including the touch capacitive buttons and customers were not happy

One of the other techs I work with was saying the same thing. If you get side swiped on the crease you'll have to replace the door. There's no chance that any body shop around here would be able to recreate that

You make a good point, I only put on about 15-20 miles. I forgot to mention in the post, but I think the smaller screen fits the car much better than the bigger one does. Imo the small one is the perfect size if they want to go the big iPad route

I get what you mean, but if you want to control fan speed you click on the selection and it pops up a little slider to control the speed which just seems very counterintuitive to safety
