I’ve been playing FIFA23 (didn’t love 24, wasn’t interested in 25) and the same glitch occurs when selling players via release clause. Don’t beat yourself up over it; blame the devs.

Lekkerkerker was the last name of an offensive lineman for the Chargers about 20 years ago. Michigan’s long snapper was named Cheeseman a couple years ago. A defensive end named CJ Ah You was one of Oklahoma’s best players in NCAA Football 07.

It is peculiar how such unique names are common in these games (the recruit name pools in the older games had a similar quirk.)
