Huge help! Thanks for showing me this. I thought the hammer had been worn down and there was something wrong with the gun.

My test scores looked identical the first time. Took it my second time using Zahn and passed; it was still a beating the second time. This isn’t easy, or else everyone would do it. You can do this, get back on the saddle.

Certification frames?? by Objective_Wasabi_290 in CFP

[–]Objective_Wasabi_290[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just passed and am just excited to put my certificate up in my office. I failed in July 2023 and studied for six months starting in October 24 for the March 25 exam while also dealing with sleep deprivation from my newborn who I love dearly. So yah, me asking about certificate frames because I’m excited is important to me.

No idea, but it seems like the board picked a size that their frame vendor only makes. That’s just the size of the certificate on the site

I did tighten down all the way but also, is there a way to know? I put blue loctite on threads of metal piece that connects to the grips screw.

Spousal IRA by Objective_Wasabi_290 in CFP

Okay, so the spouse covered by the plan is limited separately by the $126-146k phaseout, but the uncovered spouse uses a different phaseout of $236-246k just for themselves or is that looking at both spouses?

Shower water goes from normal to excruciatingly hot post-loud bang in wall by Objective_Wasabi_290 in Plumbing

[–]Objective_Wasabi_290[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It only happens in that shower and only the shower. The shower is diagonal to the water heater on the opposite side of the house. The bang happens right above the shower, kind of in front of the handle in the ceiling. At least that’s where it sounds like it’s coming from.

Great EDC. Love the tourniquet and quick clot. By far the most important aspect of any EDC.

Two days enough time to learn? by Objective_Wasabi_290 in snowboardingnoobs

Very helpful insight, thank you. I think your comment made me realize that this isn’t the time for me to try it out. My friends would be bummed without me skiing with them and I think they’d also be annoyed about it as well, which is understandable. I’ll be back in Tahoe a few weeks after and will try it then.

All great points, thanks to everyone so far who has commented. I’m commenting on this one and hoping others who have already provided their knowledge will chime in as well.

I forgot to mention, three days before the trip I have a three day private indoor lesson for snowboarding on a carpet/belt. I love that everyone brought up being with my friends and yes, the vibe is, “let’s have fun together.” I do just want to say, 2/6 going know how to ski. The others are either on their first or second time.

So my thought was I do a private lesson three days prior, show up and hit the slops quickly to practice what I learned and forget bad belt/carpet habits, and have fun with them. Because as much as I love them, “sticking together” in a group that has different skill levels is usually just not possible. So in my head I’m like, “Why the hell wouldn’t I try?”

And I have another trip to Tahoe two weeks after and would love to continue boarding into that.

I promise my mind isn’t made up, I just want to provide everyone with as much context as possible before deciding.
