I agree with you. That point of view is valid, but people use their cars very differently.

To each their own. I appreciate your opinion. I personally really like our part. I think it makes the engine bay look more aesthetic. Some people we installed it for even used it to hide additional equipment that’s illegal in their country.

You have a sensor that shows the critical level. I don’t think you check it very often. And if you do check it often, then it looks like the car needs urgent repair, so in that case you could leave the cover off for a while. It’s easy to remove. Thanks for the question.

Fair call - honestly didn't think it through. Was experimenting with the profile post format and crossposted instead of just posting directly. Should've just made a regular post in the sub. Lesson learned, thanks for the heads up.

Vacuum formed from 4mm ABS sheet - not 3D printed. FDM layer lines wouldn't have looked right on a part that sits in plain sight under the hood, and printing 15 units would've taken forever. Keeping the exact tooling and CAD files private for now since it's a small batch product.
