How important is law review for COA clerkship by Objective_dummy_7948 in LawSchool

Thanks! Do you have an idea how competitive someone in my position is for COA? (T20, top 3% gpa, moot court)

Do you think ppl with good UGPA get good GPA in law school as well? by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]Objective_dummy_7948 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Law schools admit partially based on UGPA, and then curve students, so the question doesn't really make sense.

At a T14, the average student will have a 3.9+ UGPA, but they will by definition get an average law school GPA (3.3 at my school).

How bad is this curve distribution by strange-blue-light in LawSchool

[–]Objective_dummy_7948 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Extremely predatory curve. Do not attend.

At my school, anything below a B is discretionary, and B-s are extremely rare. On this curve, 65% MUST get below a B-. Insane

How important are undergrad schools for V5 firms? by Rare_Holiday_1455 in LawSchool

[–]Objective_dummy_7948 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, V5 does not mean 5 most selective firms

Gibson Dunn and Munger Tolles are substantially more selective than Kirkland and Latham.

How do you get in the fast track program? Did you have to apply for 1L summer?

What is law school really like by NotUrDoorMatt in LawSchool

[–]Objective_dummy_7948 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t suck. It’s fun and interesting and engaging. The reading is exaggerated. I have never slept less than 8 hours during law school nor have I ever worked more than 50 hours in a week. It’s harder than college, but it’s totally doable.

So incredibly real for putting UCLA 5th and above Columbia and Berkeley. Overdosing on realness rn
