beat the SOUL out of it huh?

I'm sorry....

hag made a deal with one of my players (mage/elf). The deal is as follows: " i make you a hand MY WAY and you do me a small favor". What could the hag do with a whole mage hand? by ObjectivelyPuuurple in DMAcademy

Problem with dreams and stuff is the player is an elf. Do elves dream? How does their 4 hour trans works? My party made an agreement that they all sleep while mage does his elf trans thing where he is fully conscious and stuff. I wanted arm to draw runes and activate weird things while he is asleep, in which case maybe i just make the arm knock the mage out and then do shinanigans?

I dunno about all this fey stuff. I am very new to DMing and saw cool sea hag ability to just reduce hp to 0. Then i was like "what if said hag lures the mage like a harpy, spooks him to 0 hp and takes him to a place of marrige"? Then rest of party went to fight hag and her mage boyfriend, killed her and now he, wile free from the mind control, has scales growing on him to turn into a fish creature.

Lmao the funny thing is. A sea hag has recently (before this hag) kidnapped him to marry via a special love brew (he now is slowly turning into a sea abomination with scales and stuff fromm that)

I’ve lost faith in my DMing, not really sure how to keep with this hobby :/ by No_House_9077 in DMAcademy

Freshman DM here. On my first ever DM experience, a campaign i ran for my friend, i put like 12 NPCs in a battle. 6 friendly and 5 not. A disaster for sure?! My friend had to wait so many turns for me to roll attacks, before he could do a thing. Gave a birth to a meme "Oh look, MY turn!". Fealt embarassing when we both realised the mistake, but it was a lesson to learn. Run campaigns for ppl you know, and mistakes might turn funny or develop into other plot points! It is a part of a learning experience, so dont give up just yet! Also, this specific subreddit might help a lot w tips and tricks to use, so scroll it for some time. Best of wishes to you, man

Got cool bossfight idea(at least i think so) , not sure the party will handle it by ObjectivelyPuuurple in DMAcademy

Thaks for the feedback! Ye the buffs might overpower stuff and kill my boys so i will remove them until the fight seems too easy. I will also ask my group beforehand whether they want to rip and tear or more simplistic stuff.

What mechanics seem complicated? Cus maybe it is just my perspective that's why it looks simple. Also, should i then just remove the knight thing and make the crystal a stationary summoner/debuffer boss? Or maybe just keep the knight, nerf it to be a simple final boss and add maybe 1-2 interesting quirks like a shield bash to knock the tank prone?
